Difference between ECU's

why is there a difference between the ecu's of the same engine having different transmissions i.e. auto and manual.... even before the ECT transmission was introduced....

there isnt much of a difference actually. auto and manual ecu's have different fuel maps cuz the fuel delivery timing and volume differs b/w the two transmission types.

typically...the auto ecu has more midrange power but slightly less at high revs.
