Difference btw normal and high octane petrol?

hey guys ,

i would like to know what is the difference btw normal petrol the one we gets from pumps and high octane petrol and where to get high octane petrol ? and how much a price difference in both ones and we can run any vehicle on high octane to get good performance or is there any restrictions please share your opinions thanks in advance.

the higher the octane rating the less resistant the fuel is to burnign too easily,.. the higher the compressino the higher the octane rating shoudl be so that the burn is more controlled and stable.

since fuel distrubution is almost all the same, the fuel is also almost all the same,.. the differnce is that in some cases people (manufacturers) put some additives into their fuels but overall super is the same (except for contaminants and particles) accross the contry,.. same with hi-octane.

running a mehran on hi-octane is sheer stupidity as the car could probably run on even 80 octane without knocking. however running 97 octane on a highly modified supra is also stupidity because the fuel woudl burn before it even started getting compressed,..
