Could electrical fluctuations, short circuits, o r corroded connections lead to total failure of the locking system?

Yes. Sudden full failure of the central locking system can be caused by:

Blown fuse usually 15A–20A

Corroded relay o r loose connectors

Short circuit due to aftermarket accessories

Bad road conditions like potholes, waterlogging, o r bad earthing can loosen o r damage the wiring that controls all four doors.
