Do Amplifiers have warranties?

I was searching for a amplifier and only Sony Xplod 350watts amplier @Rs 4000 has warranty. All the shopkeepers at F-10 told me that you wont get any warranty for any stuff (speakers, woofers, amplifiers) for any brand other than Sony.

Is it true that there is no warranty for all other brands?

All brands with distributorships will be covered under warranty.
for the time being SONY and JVC has distributoirships in pakistan, not sure about other brands.
