Yes, thermostat failure is a known but underreported issue in Pakistan. A stuck thermostat in closed position:

Prevents coolant from reaching the radiator.

Causes the engine to overheat rapidly after just a few kilometers.
This can happen due to sludge, scale, o r incompatible coolant damaging the thermostats wax valve.
