Does the Kia Sportage engine feel underpowered, especially in the base FWD variant?

With a 2.0L engine, many users feel the power delivery is just average, especially when fully loaded o r using AC.

Yes. The 2.0L naturally aspirated engine around 155 hp is considered adequate, not sporty. When the car is fully loaded, going uphill, o r with AC on, many drivers feel it struggles during overtakes o r climbs, particularly in the FWD variant, which lacks torque distribution support of AWD models.
