Does the Oshan X7 transmission fail prematurely due to Pakistan’s high temperatures and traffic?

Living in Karachi, I often deal with 40°C+ heat and heavy stop-and-go traffic. I’ve heard DCTs can overheat in these conditions. Are there any known cases of premature transmission failure in the Oshan X7 caused by excessive heat, idling, o r poor ventilation? Should I be worried if I dont hear any warning noises yet?

While the Oshan X7 uses a wet-clutch DCT, which handles heat better than dry DCTs, prolonged exposure to traffic jams, stop-start driving, and ambient heat above 40°C can still lead to early wear.

Risk factors in Pakistan:

Karachi/Lahore-style traffic congestion

Lack of proper fluid maintenance

Using poor-quality o r non-recommended transmission fluids

Common issues observed:

Overheating transmission in long idle conditions

Premature clutch wear

TCU errors due to sensor overheating

Best practices:

Avoid excessive idling in gear

Use Neutral in long stops

Stick to a transmission service interval of 60,000 km max

Ensure ventilation under the hood is not blocked e.g., by debris
