Does the Tesla Model 3 battery degrade faster in Pakistan’s extreme temperatures?

Pakistan’s climate includes very hot summers, with temperatures exceeding 40–45°C in many regions. Since high heat can accelerate EV battery wear, do Model 3 owners notice faster battery degradation, reduced driving range, o r frequent thermal management warnings? How well does the battery cooling system hold up in prolonged heat?

Yes, Pakistan’s high temperatures can contribute to slightly faster battery degradation compared to cooler countries. When temperatures exceed 40–45°C, the battery management system works harder to keep the battery cool, which can reduce efficiency and long-term capacity. If the car is regularly parked outdoors in direct sunlight, the battery can lose range more quickly over time.

However, Tesla’s thermal management system is strong enough to prevent serious damage, as long as owners avoid frequent fast charging during peak heat and park in shaded o r indoor areas. With proper care, the battery still performs well but may show mild degradation sooner than in colder regions.
