ECONOMY & TUNNINGS:

1- TUNE UP can improve fuel efficiency by 4% to 12%.
2- Spark plug timing must set to specs
3- Clean & properly adjusted points will produce fuel efficient firing,
4- One spark plug misfiring half of times reduce fuel economy by 7% and two can reduce up to 20%.

PETROL & OIL SELECTION

1- Always use a multi viscosity motor oil. New modified or slippery oils are designed to improve mileage by as much as 3 to 8%,
2- Dirty oil causes added friction & engine wear,
3- Use fuel octane level just high enough to prevent engine knocking. A higher than necessary octane rating does not improve a car�s mileage. Octane nr i8s a measure of petrol blends to resist knocking.

HOW 2 FIND, WHEN UR CAR NEEDS A TUNE UP:

Keep fuel consumption record (km/ltr). When this average drops by 10 to 15% - your car needs a tune-up.

WHAT SYSTEMS R CHECKED DURING TUNE-UP?

1- Starting system, 2- Charging system, 3- Ignition system, 4- Fuel system, 5- Exhaust system, 6- Engine Block.

WHAT IS CHECKED IN STARTING SYSTEM:
Cranking revolutions per minute (rpm) and battery condition.

WHAT IS EXHAUST SYSTEM:
It is system through which the exhaust gases are emitted into environment. They consist of Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydro Carbons (HC), Oxides of Nitrogen (NOX), and Lead (pb).

auto wash & serviciung tips 2 remember

never spray diesel oil under thye hood in engine compartment, as this will deteriorate rubber parts, boiots and seals.
preferably steam wash engine compartment and use high pressure hot water for cleaning car body

always use vacuum cleaner for removing dirt from car interiors. using high pressure air only relocates dust on roof, inside display panels and upholstery.
