Engine Cleaning - Oil Compartments (Daewoo)

Dear Experts

I have recently purchased a Daewoo and wanted to ask some expert opinion on engine cleaning.

I wanted to ask about cleaning all the engine oil compartments, as the previous owner of the car did not change engine oil for ridiculously long time and the oil when changed was very thick and dirty and i have checked the engine over head cam area with in the oil cap area and it was very dirty and contained much deposits on it.

I was told that cleaning can be done with diesel but ,i think as well as heard, its a bad thing and hurts the engine. I have searched the forum and found some threads relating to using engine flush but they have mixed opinions.

I also somewhere read about some cleaner, unlike the engine flush, that can be added to engine oil and driven for 1000 KM and then require the engine oil change...

So all experts please comment and tell me if i should clean and how i should clean the engine from inside.

German company Liquimoly has many options for engine oil cleanliness. and u r right that these have to be mixed with old oil and then change it.
In ur case this engine flush may not work with the existing oil as it is already thick and dirty.

An idea may be that purchase open oil from the market and mix it with Liquimoly Engine flush etc. U can repeat this process depending upon the level of cleanliness required and ur pocket size.

After it u can go for oil change of better quality.
