Engine Dies right after starting.

My 2000 Cuore won't start. The problem is when I give it a self it starts but the moment I let it go the engine dies. What could be the problem. Is it electrical or mechanical. Any suggestions as to what should I check for before I get scammed by the mechanic (again).

it is very simple...if u r on cng and this happens ..."When u start ur car without putting ur feet on xclerator and then when it starts and u try to move on then it dies..." The same condition if it is happening in petrol then do one thing go for a good mechanic and ask him to clean ur cng or petrol "Which is giving u problem" pipes because they are choked...and one more thing do try this...if ur car is giving problem in cng then try on petrol...and see it ...
