Engine Leak and Tampering Issues in 2012 Honda Civic 8th Gen
I used the Olx vehicle inspection service for a 2012 Honda Civic 8th Gen and was informed that the engine had been replaced with the same engine number punched on the new one. I am sharing an image of the engine number and would appreciate your thoughts on whether it appears to have been tampered with o r punched.
Also, the inspector mentioned that there is an engine seal leak, and oil is leaking from that area. I have learned that there are multiple types of seals in that location. Could you please provide further information on this?

The crank seal on the engine is currently leaking. Fortunately, its not a particularly difficult part to replace. To do so, youll need to remove the pulley located behind it, which will grant access to the seal that needs to be replaced.
