Engine oil

hello members
am using santro nd it has done 50 000 kms
i want to use zic oil. but my mechanic told me that its not for cars with old engine as i have...
i dun want to rely on a typical mechanic approach
plz guide me
shud i go for it
i think there are two types of ZIC oil available in the market
plz tell which one is suitable

There is no such issue wid the ZIC brand but the real concern is about the type of oil. Fully synthetic or semi synthetic oils are not suitable for old cars & let me clear that term old cars refers to poor engines. If ur cars is 50K driven but its engien compression & condition is pefect then there shudnt any harm by using synthetic oil in it but if the manitenace history of ur car is poor then u shud stay away from this stuff.

All famous oil companies have there diffrent products covering full Mineral, semi synthetic & fully synthetic ranges to fullfil specific requirments. If u want more deatils on Oil & lubrication then search the forum as it has been disscused already in details.
