Engine Overhauling

Engine Overhauling

Can anybody answer me following questions? I just left my car at mechanic for engine overhauling.

1. What is Piston size? My mechanic told me that piston used in my khyber is at 100. He will replace it so it will become on standard.

2. Can crankshaft be fixed as 125. My mechanic told me first he will replace crankshaft but now he is saying due to unavailability he is repairing it as 125 size. Dont know exactly but some leth machine work.

3. How to care for engine after overhauling. My daily running is is almost 60 km, 22 days a month. What are precautions regarding, fuel, engine oil, and other stuffs.

Thanks in advance for answering questions.

I had my Mehran's engine overhauled when I didn't have enough knowledge so I'll let experts answer 1 & 2. For 3, as you probably know, there's a time after the overhaul which is called 'Running Period'. Following precautions were handed to me for this period:
I was told to run my car mostly on petrol during running (the mechanic did not forbid CNG).
I was also instructed to drive it at around 35-40 kmph (not exceeding the upper limit) in 3rd gear(no 4th gear) without any load yani double sawaari pay pabandi , although a second person can ride with you occasionally.
The car should run in appropriate gear and high gear with low rpm was strictly forbidden.
Was instructed to avoid uphills too.
Was instructed to get the mobile oil changed right after the running period (1000km in my case). Some mechanics may require you to change the oil earlier than that.

Keep these things in mind and your engine should be fine. My Mehran is doing great mashaAllah!! (engine wise anyway).
