Hey all,

is there a simple way to guess if your engine needs overhauling ? I have civic exi 2005 and it seems like it does not have a very good pick and responsive engine. At times it takes a few jhatkas (like the ones you get if you are running out of fuel) and then starts to accelerate. It can also be clutch. Not sure. I know in hyundai they take out plugs and insert a guage to check the compression of each cylinder. Not sure if Honda has something of same sort or not.

my 06 civic behaved like urs bcz its sparkplug need 2 be changed..change ur plugs after 40k(ngk prefered over denso) nd have da gap adjusted at .8mm..performance plugs dont increase power.they only make a differnce of 1hp or 2hp,so useless.also cng gas adjustment is also vry critical.clean filter evry 200km,civic is sensitive on cng with clogged filter.TB cleaning may also be needed.
