Engine Rings and valves problem

Hi members,

my car gives smoke in morning and when started after some time and this smoke disappears after 4-5 minutes. i told some mechanics and they give me estimate of 6-8K for engine Rings and valves. Also my car is reducing oil very fast like it reaches last circle of dipstick after traveling about 1500 Kms. some mechanics suggest me to do General overhaul of engine which will cost me more.

can somebody tell me good mechanic in Rawalpindi / Islamabad to do this job.
also i have found on internet that this is a temporary solution. engine overhaul is needed again after 1 year. i travel about 60Kms daily from home to office and back.

what do you suggest , rings and valve changing will be better job or better to replace my car. its Mehran 2001 and driven 100K kms. Also i have heard that engine related work should be done in Winter rather in summer. is this true ?

your mechanic is right.ur car's symptoms indicate that rings are gone. Engine overhaul doesn't depend on weather.Han winter ka yeh faida hai kah u dont use AC,or engine sahi beithta hai.
can't suggest any suzuki mechanic as i own a honda.
