Engines V12, V8, V6

Engines V12, V8, V6

V stands of the angle in which the cylinders are mounted and the number stands for how much the cylinders are.

now in modern days all cars are having almost 500 or 500+ Hp so what difference does it make if the car is a v12 or a v8 or v6 ?

so if we assume a car is having 500hp and same torque(maybe not same torque) but one has a v 12 and other have v 8 and a v6 so what difference does it make?

advantages of these setups?

Engines in V-configuration allow the engine to be more compact - shorter- than an equivalent longitudinal engine. This allows the same engine capacity but in a smaller space. A shorter engine allows the positioning to be mounted towards the middle of the car.
This helps with handling and weight distribution.
