Enhancement of performance

hi buddies i have go a 1966 Toyota Corona.It has got the original 1.5 lit petrol engine.It has grown old and has done 89.500 miles.It is in original condition and has not been touched by a mechanic.I want to improve its performance capabilities and i want some good advise in this regard.Hope that u people will give me some advise.

damn a 1966 car which hasn't been touched by a mechanic,.. no wonder the engine has grown old (just kidding)

seriously though i think it's time for a rebuild or an engine transplant. It might be very interesting to put a 20V in it.

Hopfully FLi_GTi will join in and gove you some good advice.
