The ECU is P08,

Auto or Manual.
This will work for usdm OBD-1 ECUs:

Read the code on it. The 2nd to last # on an automatic ECU will have a 5.
If it is anything but a five then it is a manual ECU.

Jdm OBD-1 ECUs:
Reade the code on it.. if the last 3 digits are 900 or 901 it is an automatic ECU.

LSD.
Simple way, just grab the outer on the Gear box, and rotate it if the other rotates in the same direction, then Its LSD, but if the other rotates in apposite direction then its not LSD.

3 stg, Vtec.
If u have seen a Vtec selenoid before then u can tell easyly, just above distributor u'll see that 2 selenoid are attached,

Clean Swap,
the all game of engine swap depends on how the engine is mounted,
Get it done from some one who knows what he is doing, this is not just a regular car which usually are driven at 50 to 80km/h, ull be taking it to 180,

Usually the Fuel average is very good,
