Front Screen got a scratch :S !!a querry

Hello friends, some kid threw a stone on my car and it got a hair type crack on the bottom of the front screen, it is not a deep crack..its just a hair type which is a line of about 7 inches.... i want to know that will it cause more damage or will that hair increase or change into a crack? because it is NOT a Deep crack like a broken one...just a hair which i can feel with my nails but not with finger tips...
