Functions of Advancer device?

Can you guys tell me What is the use and function of Advancer device?

or in other words, eliminating the fuel injection part from the car WHEN running on CNG, so basically when you're on CNG its like you're running a carburetted engine no matter what car you have. And hence the really poor performance.

The kits they fit are made for carburreted engines and hence they need to have an advancer to make them work with EFI engines..
