FYI on getting the shine back on plastic lights on

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share something I came across on restoring a car.

Q. Do any of you know what to use to brighten up taillights?

A. I tried the toothpaste method out of curiosity and it actually wasn't too bad. It was very cheap also. I hope they show up right.I should point out, PLAIN old Crest, not one of the new whitening fancy gels or whatever they make these days. Mint is OK but any special features on the tube mean look for the old fashioned kind, some of the new stuff is probably different.
