Gas tuning required?

I was recently told by someone that everytime the air filter is changed, gas tuning needs to be done. This was confirmed by Spectra and Agha but shame on my part, i've failed to understand why.

Anyone?

its because when u get a new air filter this means more air due to which the mixture might go lean and the car wont go as good as it used to, so thats y. i wont say tuning but just a little readjusting the gas adjustment nut, thats all.
