Have you used any aftermarket cleaning products o r polishes on the windshield that might be causing the streaks?

Some glass cleaners o r coatings leave behind residue. Did any product you applied make the streaking worse?

Yes, some glass cleaners o r polishes contain wax o r silicone, which leave a greasy residue behind. This makes the windshield worse by increasing smears under wiper use. Always use automotive-grade, residue-free glass cleaners.
