Help!

I bought this new coure eco 3days ago. The car lacks initial acceleration(what we call "baithee hue hai") on cng as well as petrol. Went to toyota dealership they ran computer analyser test and did a general tune-up checked its valve clearance. All is ok. but the car is still laggy. Well i took it to some other mechanic he says the distributer cap is faulty. My question is, how can a faulty distributrer cap effects the performance...what is the indication of a faulty distributer cap.

Does you car do 'Missing'. If not then check for possible spark plug gaps and advance the timing a little bit (about 5-7 degree). Otherwise the distributor /or rotor has some problem
