Help by explaining what's what ??

Guyz i just wanted to know that what's these 2 things marked by a "?" in the photo below. Its a photo of the stroker kit and I know bout the pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft.

i wud be thankful 2 u !!

Piston rings ... n the other thing are umm .. dont know lol ... im guessing they connect the rods to the crank.
