Help me out - manifolds/headers/ intakes etc
...i have few questions...whts the diff. b/w air intake manifold and exhaust manifold?
exhaust manifold and headers r the same thing??n whts the diff. b/w regular headers n performance headers?
n whts the diff. between cold air intake and performance air filter..?
thanx in advance

intake manifold:- the piping through which ur car breathes air in.it sucks air frm surrounding nd take it into the engine for combustion.this is located in ur engine bay.
exhaust manifold:- its the piping through which ur car exhale the exhaust gasses.mostly known as "cylincer"
Headers:- there r the starting pipes which recieve the exhaust frm the engine.the r located very near to the engine.this is the place where exhaust gasses entre first to b exhaled
performance headers:- these r coustom made headers which hav larger diameter then tha stock ones.so the engine can breath more easily nd fastly nd hence give more output.
cold air intake:- it has a larger diameter pipe than the stocks ones.it takes air frm an area away frm the heat of engine.usually the farthrest point frm the engine inside the engine bay.the cold air is dense nd hav a smaller volume than hot air.so more of it can b taken inside the engine nd hence more performance is provided but more fuel is required so economy is decreased.....
