Help needed in buying C AMS.

well one of my friend asked me this question about buying these cams for his small port 4age. he said if it wud increase any performance or any good result. he found the cams on EBAY web site. u guys can check and tell me.

Well, that depends on the camshaft. If you replace it with a stock (factory) it would not change. But if you install aftermarket cams that have more lift and duration it should increase power by a little bit even if nothing else in the engine is changed. Now if you have a bit more compression and a nice header (tuned header not some random one) it would increase the performance even more. You can even get some timing belt gears that have some adjustment in them and can play with both cams (in the case of the 4AG and other DOHC engines) and dial in the cams. That would even further enhance the powerband.

Now as for those cams, they might help a tad bit if they are different from you stock cams. But not worth in my opinion. Actually doing some searching the big port cams are bigger than the small port one. So I would not get these cams. Remember there is not way to make power cheap. Once you get a bigger cam in the engine then you also need to make sure you can tune it properly etc etc...
