hey all..
I have Toyota Sprinter 1986 reconditioned 1993. The car is on CNG n it has automatic transmission. The problem with the car is that I feel it doesnt have a very good pick. It goes upto 100-120 km/hr which is okay but it takes long enuff to do that. Is it because of CNG? or auto transmission? or some other problem? Engine is okay... no problems as such. But Im kinda fed up of this low pick. In order to have a better pick, I accelerate it hard, n when I do so, it results in consuming more CNG which goes abt 70 kms in 50 lit tank. that is about something around 4 Rs/km which aint good neither affordable.

Please suggest me how to get rid of this problem? Is there any turbo that works on CNG? or is there something wrong with my car? If yes thn I am ready to spend some money in order to get better performance. Even I can invest some amount n get a 2001-02 Cuore.. wud it be a wise decession?

Thanks..

springters are not light so they will accelerate slow and with an auto they'd be even slower, with CNG it woudl almost be faster to walk!

If you are expecting to get performance out of a vehicle which was never intended on being fast you'll have to do some major modifications which woudl nulify the whole idea of CNG.

If you want to go fast, it's better you change the car.
