Helpp...D15b3 head problem

dudes, i've got a 95 civic with d15b3 sohc non-vtec. the problem is that my head has worn out. The surface of the cylinders where the head gaskit sets in has worn out n became uneven. the mechanic has advices to get a block swap. My question is .

*is there any other solution? cant the block be repaired?
*If i go for swap, how much will it cost me?
*how it'll devalue my car?

pls guys...i m really worried.

if the head is uneven then get the head milled and shaved...
thats the cheapest thing u can do
moving on...if it still dosent work out..the get another one...it'll cost around 3-5k

btw where did the block come in from? is the head wornout or the block also?

if both are gone bad then get used replacements and built them...

about the swap...a d16 swap will set u back about 30-35k (whole engine, tranny, wiring)
