Honda City fuel pump problem
Honda City fuel pump problem
I have a 2015 Honda City Aspire 1.5, and this is the third time I’ve had to change the fuel pump. I’m not sure why it keeps failing every 3 to 4 months. The engine also gets really sluggish and loses power when the AC is on after a while. At first, it runs fine, and I’ve had it tuned twice, but that hasn’t fixed the problem.

Next time, make sure to ask the workshop to check the fuel pump pressure. You could also go to a place that actually knows how to do that, since a lot of workshops don’t use a dial gauge to check fuel pressure.
If the reading is between 50-60 psi, then your fuel pump is good, and the issue might be elsewhere.
Also, after installing a new fuel pump, it’s a good idea to check the pressure. If it’s around 30-40 psi, that means the pump isn’t working properly and might fail soon.
