Honda City Steermatic Fuel Performance on Motorway
Honda City Steermatic Fuel Performance on Motorway
I have noticed that after 15000km service my Honda City Steermatic has been giving me extraordinary fuel performance while traveling between Lhr-ISb-Lhr on the motorway.
Sharing the experience with Pak wheelers
Vehicle specs
Honda City Steermatic - standard no CNG
Fuel - Shell fuel, not hi octane
Tyres - Standard - Rear 31psi, front 29psi
Journey - average speed 120kms @ 2800rpm (maintained under 3000 rpms)
I did 198 kms without the fuel gauge budging from the full mark. After 211 kms the needle start to move downwards, at Lahore toll plaza the gauge was still above the half tank mark, that is to say I did approx 400 kms at half a tank. At Honda City in Lahore we calculated that the vehicle did 18kms to 1 ltr, which I think is amazing for 1.5 ltr vehicle, as for all the people selling their city steermatic because of fuel consumption they should check their driving skills and car maintenance.
I am adding pics of the fuel gauge for reference
Anyone out there with similar experience????? would love to hear what other steermatic owners are experiencing.

I cant guess what the average would be at 90kms steady, prob better than what I got at 120 average I guess. BTW no fun to drive on motorway at that speed, rather do the trips on GT road, prob get even better mileage due to less distance, i understand Motorway adds 100kms to the trip b/w Lhr-Isb.
