Honda Civic Turbo Maintenance: CVT Oil & Engine Cleaning?

Honda Civic Turbo Maintenance: CVT Oil & Engine Cleaning?

I am asking on behalf of a friend, as well as for my own knowledge. My friend recently purchased a Honda Civic Turbo that has been driven for 68k. The previous owner claims to have changed the CVT oil at 40k, but we are unsure if we should change it for our own peace of mind. Additionally, should we consider getting the throttle body cleaned o r the spark plugs cleaned?

If youve been keeping up with regular car service and your service history indicates that your CVT oil has been changed, then theres no need to worry. However, if you havent been keeping up with service intervals, its recommended that you get the CVT oil changed.

As for other maintenance items, you dont need to worry about them until the next service interval. But, if your car has been driven for at least 3,000 miles since the last oil change, then you can go ahead and change the oil, filter, and timing belt for your peace of mind.

Although its not necessary, theres no harm in doing so. In fact, its always better to be on the safe side and take care of these things to ensure that your car runs smoothly and stays in good condition.
