Quite common. Clicking o r buzzing from inside the door, followed by no actual locking/unlocking, usually means:

Worn internal gears in the actuator

Motor working but mechanism jammed

Low voltage supply to actuator

Buzzing also indicates electrical failure o r partial actuator burnout, which is a precursor to full failure.
