How could it happen?

Day before yesterday my family and i were going from D.H.A to M.M alam road .When we were on the cavalry poll There was a sudden noise from the car's hood and the meter showed the car's was fully heated when just a kilometer before it was half.My dad turned off the engine but we were going down so we made it down then my dad started the car again but it still fully hot then my dad said''gari ke radiotor ka pipe phat gaya''. The car kept moving forwad for a while when we saw a workshop there we opened the hood.The cap which stops the water from coming out was gone dont know how but it was gone.we bought a new one and came back how do you think this could have happened?

i had the same problem my radiator cap was first leak and then one day cmoing back from my friendz home it fell of and when i reached home my car was about to over heat i turned of the engine and put some water then it coold down

cap sahee nahi lagee hogee ya leak hogee
