How does a clogged air filter affect the performance of the JAC T6 in Pakistan?

Many owners report reduced engine power, rough idling, o r increased fuel consumption. How does dust, pollution, and frequent driving on unpaved roads in Pakistan contribute to air filter clogging, and what are the signs that the air filter needs immediate replacement?

A clogged air filter restricts airflow to the engine, causing several performance issues:

Reduced engine power: Limited air reduces combustion efficiency, leading to sluggish acceleration.

Rough idling: Insufficient airflow can make the engine run unevenly at idle.

Increased fuel consumption: The engine may compensate by injecting more fuel, reducing mileage.

Accelerated engine wear: Dust and debris can bypass a clogged filter, causing internal engine damage.

Causes in Pakistan:

Frequent driving on dusty, unpaved roads.

High levels of air pollution in cities.

Long intervals between air filter replacements.

Preventive measures:

Inspect and replace the air filter every 10,000–15,000 km, o r more frequently in dusty conditions.

Clean surrounding air intake areas when changing filters.

Use OEM o r high-quality aftermarket filters suitable for dusty environments.
