The automatic transmission in the Alsvin, particularly the 5-speed DCT, has received mixed reviews regarding its long-term reliability. Some owners report smooth shifting under normal driving conditions however, issues such as jerky shifts, noticeable lag, and occasional overheating during long drives o r in heavy city traffic have also been observed. These symptoms often appear after 10,000 to 20,000 km of use. Proper maintenance and regular fluid checks seem to mitigate some of these problems, but potential buyers should be aware that the DCT may not handle extreme traffic conditions o r aggressive driving as well as some traditional automatic gearboxes.
