How to increase the acceleration of diesel engine

slam every body....i have bought a 2nd hand 2.od saloon 2006 ,and i felt that the pick and acceleration of it quite less as compared to my previous 2.od saloon..
can any body plz tell me what normal tunning i should do to the engine +some extra parts, which can increase the acceleration of my car....
im anxiously waiting for replies from my gari.pk brothers....

if ur previous corolla was the indus shape,
its acceleration was more then this model. so better not fiddle with the diesel pump etc and ruin the diesel avg u get
