Hydraulic Clutch Setup Tweaks?

Hydraulic Clutch Setup Tweaks?

I recently swapped an engine in my car and with it came a hydraulic gear box, slave cylinder, master cylinder but no clutch rod. I would like to know how to properly setup this hydraulic system. And specially how to determine the slave cylinder rod size required.

The problem i am facing right now are :
1) The clutch slips a lot under minor acceleration (even before the turbo is spooled. A clutch job has been done and i need to properly adjust both the master and slave cylinder )

2) It is very hard to shift gears when the car is cold, there is no grinding but you just cant shift it, it shifts like butter once the car is driven for 10 minutes and the car gets fully warmed up (separate issue then the hydraulic system?)

3) The clutch pedal is too soft, you do not feel the fingers of the pressure plate being pressed. Soft clutch is good, but too soft might indicate a problem.

Please help,
Thanks
