If my plugs wires not work properly

My sweet fellows . i just want to ask that what can be happen if my car's plugwires are not able to use any more.is it effect on pick.?if yes then plz tell me the detail.
and also tell me about the Qualities of plugs wires.i means which one i should use for civic 95 ex.

if any of the plug wires is short(or having some sort of problem)u will notice missing in the car. second hand markets are flooded with plug wires. go for the genuine ones
