Impact of Computerization in cars, I mean EFI, VTi

Hi there this thread is to get views from gari.pk about the impact of computerization posterization in car engines, fuel injection, valve timing, cruise control features are endless. are really good to Improve engine power and fuel economy, but this MEANS Also we need to go to That Specialized dealer to fix up issues. It is no longer That if we break down on a highway, we just lift the bonnet and know Exactly what to do, Either we need to look Into the Carburettor or fix-up spark plugs, etc. In other words, we know the fuel injection, electricals from A to Z Can so atleast give it a trial n error. With newer cars we are Helpless. Also, It Means Any normal mechanic Will not be Able to repair it. What r your views about this issue Especially in context of service and support in Pakistan?

I'm all for technology and are willing to make cars powered by batteries and motors instead of gasoline engines and see. Electronics are more efficient, more reliable and cheaper to make and mantain replacement. A normal mechanic in Pakistan will have its electrical skills, since cars in the future (not sure how many of those high-tech cars will come here) will be equipped with the latest gadgets.

But for people like us, I mean, the smell of burning gasoline and the melody of love is the engine of the future is a never ending nightmare.
