Info about Electronic Fuel Pump

is electronic feul pump different for different cars or it is universal. i have 4efe and fuel pump stop working so what should i have to tell the shopkeeper.

How do you know the fuel pump is dead? One thing you can do it get a hammer or some thing to hit the bottom of the fuel tank... and try to start the car... if it starts.. even for a few seconds... the fuel pump is faulty.
