INFO for LAYMAN...

Hi All.. well all those who have knowledge can they please explain the engine types mostly used and referred to here.. Like wats a 20V, or B16 etc.. I can guess this much that 20 would be for 2litres and 16 for 1.6..
But wats a B class engine?? or wats V class? etc..

Can it even be explained here or it requires a 100,000 page book?? :-)
