Can anyone help me, regarding some questions about tyres::
1.How to check the manufacturing date of a tyre?
2.How much old tyre in stock must be acceptable?
3.What does measurements like 165/70R12 mean?
4.After how many kms must the tyres of a car be changed?

1. Manufacturing date is written on the sidewall of each tyre in terms of week/year e.g 0407 means 4th week of year 2007 and some brands have codes on it like General have code E10 and for that purpose u have to match the codes from their log book available with the tyre vendors.

2. Technically speaking a tyre expires after 4 years whether is it used in car or stored in shop

3. Pl c the pic , u will understand all but always use the same size recommended by the manufacturer

4. Normally if u have run the trye 35/45 thousand kms then it is very fine to be replaced with new ones although the vendors give the guarantee of 80,000 kms which is not practically possible.
