Assalamualaikum

I need some information about Hyundai Santro Club 2002 model. please Experts and no-voice members do discuss.

1: What should be the position of temperature needle on the gauge when the car is driven for 15 Km in the speed of 60-80 K mph.

2: What should be the gear changing limits with respect to speed of the car? i change the gears like (10 Kmph-2nd) (25 Kmph-3rd) (40 Kmph-4th) (60 Kmph-5th). if this sequence is not correct then guide me what will its effects on the car Transmission and Engine mechanics?

3: Is there any need of engine oil top-up after every 1000 Km traveling or there is no oil adding required until the total oil change at some interval like 5000 Km or 3000 Km. in simple words is there any oil consumption occurs in a 100,000+ Km driven car after it is driven for 1000 Km or 1500 Km?

4: is there any need for advancer with CNG kit or we can just use emulator? mine have just emulator and does not have any advancer. is this necessary or not? and if there is no advancer what will be the effect.

5: my car does not go beyond 60 Kmph 4th gear in a slope on CNG, do i need an advancer for good engine power or it is just OK?

6: my car does not have any black or Blue smoke, but a white smoke is there, also after completing the journey there is small drops of engine oil (i think it is engine oil) inside tailpipe, i often wipe it with a tissue paper or some time checking it with my finger. what is the cause? if this is burning oil then it should give blue smoke but it is pure unburned oil.

Answers:
1. Temperature guage needle after 5 km(approx.) should come at slightly lower than middle position(If Radiator fan is automatic company wired) otherwise it is slightly above lowest point.

2. Gear change judged by urself while you drive. generally when egnine sounds more than normal then u need to change the gear.
For best fuel economy, it is recommended to drive in the highest gear.
for example, if u need best fuel economy in the smooth road, then drive at 45Km/hr in 4th or 5th gear. U will definetly get fuel economy.

3. if everything is fine with ur engine and u changed ur engine oil, then there should be same oil quantity after 4000Km to 5000Km drive. It is normal that oil quantity drops(around 10%) say after 7000 Km. But oil reduces to half after 5000 Km or so then this might be the problem of your Car Engine Ring/Piston or some other cause.
Usually if silencer smokes white, means its an indication of weak Rings associate to Piston.

4. for all EFI car Advancer and Emulators are necessory if CNG is to be equipped.
sometime Advancer and Emulator are seperate devices but some Advancer includes Emulator in a signle box.

5. generally CNG ENgine show low power thats why ur Car speed remains 60KM/hr. U re-check, I guess Advancer is included in ur EFI Kit. and Better to tune ur car for CNG.

6. If ur car has white smoke and Oil at tail pipe, this shows ur car engine Rings or Piston or Both might be weak. Most chance are that ur Rings are weak.
If it is white smoke right now then if u dont repair ur engine, after sometime it will convert into Blue smoke.
When u car get repaired , u will definetly feel the change.
For Best Tuned car (Also with best engine), the tail pipe should emit water vapours outside ur tail pipe. This shows car is best tuned and this will reflect best fuel economy with best enginer performance.
