Installing Spacers reduces Jump Absorption?

Can anybody please tell me that by Installing Spacers in Rear Shocks(as the CNG Cylinder is heavy and car's ground clearence becomes very low), the jump absorption of car reduces. I m experiencing the same problem. After installing Spacers, the rear Suspension of my car has become so Stiff that it has becme so Uncomfortable.
Technical People plz give me some Info, that why this happens?
What other alternate is available other than Spacers?

I have Civic EXi 2005. Can u please tell me the cost of the Springs as the suspension really sucks when 3 people sit at the back. How much i have to pay for that coz i got Spacers fitted for Rs. 500 only.
