Is anyone else having delayed gear shifting issues in MG HS DCT?

My MG HS with the dual-clutch transmission sometimes feels sluggish when shifting gears, especially in stop-and-go traffic. There’s a noticeable delay between pressing the accelerator and actual movement. Is this a known problem with the DCT in Pakistan, o r do I need to get it checked urgently?

This is a common complaint among MG HS owners in Pakistan, especially during peak summer May–August. The reasons could include:

Undersized AC Compressor: The compressor may not be powerful enough to handle extreme Pakistani heat, especially when the car is parked in the sun.

Insufficient Gas: Some users have found that their cars AC gas levels were lower than optimal from the factory.

Cabin Insulation: MG HS has decent insulation, but not as robust as Japanese competitors like Honda o r Toyota, leading to heat retention.

AC System Calibration: Some owners improved performance after recalibrating the AC system at authorized service centers.

What you can do:

Get the AC gas levels checked.

Ensure the cabin air filter is clean.

Use sunshades and pre-cool the car before driving.

Visit an MG dealership to check for software updates o r refrigerant top-up.
