Is DIY cleaning of the purge valve in Changan Karvaan a reliable fix o r a temporary solution?

Some drivers attempt to clean the purge valve using throttle cleaners o r compressed air. Is this approach effective in the long term, o r should users opt for replacement?

DIY cleaning using throttle body cleaner o r carb spray may:

Work temporarily if the valve is just dirty

Not help if the valve is stuck internally o r electrically faulty

Cause damage if cleaning is done without removing it properly

Temporary fix at best. Long-term solution is usually replacement.
