Is it safe....

hi guys. i just want to know that is it safe to do a oil chage after 6500specialy in older cars(which are under 10 years old not more then that) if the car is not giving any problem.pls reply

yaar i once forgot to change my civic's oil..it was changed after 14000+km....and believe me nothing happened to the engine till 180000km..when i eventually sold it
