In Pakistan, many roadside mechanics recommend removing the thermostat. What are the long-term risks—like engine running too cold o r inefficient fuel burn?

Removing the thermostat is not recommended. While it may temporarily reduce overheating, long-term risks include:

Engine never reaching optimal temperature → poor fuel efficiency.

Increased engine wear from running cold.

ECU may remain in warm-up mode, causing sluggish performance.

Emission system failure over time.

✅ Better solution: Replace faulty thermostat and flush the cooling system.
